Good Morning Chest pains? So it's not such a good morning, but we are taking care of it...The doctors have called in a prescription for an antibiotic as it seems I have a bit of Reactive Bronchitis and a touch of Pleurisy (shocker! More meds to add into the daily routine!) But no worries, with the help of some antibiotics (and of course some super-sized mugs of Java) I'll be back on my feet feeling myself in no time (hmm... Maybe instead of feeling like myself, I'll see if I can feel like someone else...someone WITHOUT Lupus perhaps!) But for the time being, I am living with Lupus and a lovely collection of other Chronic Illnesses, and I'll be damned if I EVER let them get the best of me (there's that CHRONICLYsILLy attitude!) So today, in lieu of this morning events, I am in need of some laughter as well, and with all the talk about Oprah lately in the Lupus Community (with her having a lupus page linked off her main page, with a ton of great resources, facts and information about Lupus, and postcards and backgrounds offered to the public for free! For Oprah's lupus page click here! ) I have decided to do a post honoring Oprah but in CHRONICLYsILLy fashion of course! And what better way to do this than have a CHRONICLYsILLy Presents: Oprah's favorite things (Autoimmune diseases edition!)! That's right! Only those of us with Chronic Illnesses are being extended these once in a lifetime invites to go to the Harpo studios for Oprah's Annual Favorite Things show (and this year they're gearing all of their products to fit the needs and wants of those of us with Chronic Illnesses!) So without further adieu, I am proud to present you with:

Hello Everybody who is CHRONICLYsILLy! Let me hear you! (cue applause and screams!) We are happy to welcome all of you to our Favorite Things Show! We wait all year for this show to come around and I bet you cannot wait to see what's on our favorite things list this year, and what each and everyone of you will be going home with! We have some fantastic items on this year's list! So... we have kept you on the edge of your seats long enough... and now let's get the party started! But first, of course, my dear friend Gail is here to help me out! Everybody give a warm welcome to GAIL!
Alright it is time to start our favorite Thing's list! Our first item is coming to us from our friends at Tiffany & co. That's right! I said Tiffany's!!! EVERYBODY GETS A TIFFANY'S DIAMOND ENCRUSTED PILL CASE!! YOU GET A TIFFANY'S PILL CASE! YOU GET A TIFFANY'S PILL CASE! EVERYBODY GETS A TIFFANY"S PILL CASE!! That was one hell of a way to start our show off wouldn't you say! And no, you are not mistaken everybody in our studio audience will be going home with a special edition (made just for the CHRONICLYsILLy Oprah favorite things show!) Tiffany's Diamond encrusted pill case!
What's next ? I bet you all cannot wait to see! Well This is one of
my and Gail's favorite thing and we're not even Chronically Ill! These slippers will keep your feet warm and toasty on even the coldest of winter nights! So Gail, would you please tell the audience what the next item is! Sure thing O! Our next item, are... HAPPY FEET! Everyone will be going home with a pair of these oversized sneaker slippers! O and I have them in all of our favorite teams! I bet you cannot wait to get your feet inside these!
WOW! Look at these items, and we're just getting started! Wait what was that, we have a last minute donation for an extra item! Oh, ladies and gentlemen wait until you hear this! Gail, I am just too excited and we still haven't even gotten to our biggest presents on the favorite things list! That's right we still have yet to get to our biggest and best gifts! Thanks, Oprah, that's right I was able to get each and everyone of you...Your very own... PERSONAL RHEUMATOLOGIST! Available 24 hours a day 7 days a week! Say goodbye to thise ER visits when you cannot get into your doctor's office on a saturday night, because our Personal Rheumatologists live in you home with you! Oh my goodness Dr. Oz I have to interject and say, EVERYBODY GETS THEIR OWN PERSONAL RHEUMATOLOGIST! YOU GET YOUR OWN! AND YOU GET YOUR OWN! EVERYBODY GETS THEIR OWN PERSONAL RHEUMATOLOGIST! (mind you at this point, Harpo herself is so excited she is jumping up and down screaming!)
We've got one more gift to give away before our Favorite Things show comes to an end...And I think we have saved one of the best for last, would you say so too Gail? Yes I would Oprah! Say goodbye to these days, because with your own personal secretary to manage your meds, you'll never miss another dose ever again!
And I am sad to say, that brings our Favorite Things Show to an end...I hope you all enjoy all of your Favorite Things, and be sure to come back next year, for our second annual CHRONICLYsILLy Favorite Things Show! I'm Oprah and I'm wishing you a happy holiday season!
Well, now that we all have our own personal Rheumatologists and secretaries to manage our medications, It's time to sit back and relax (with our new happy feet of course) and enjoy life! And of course before we part ways (and I head to my favorite place... you guessed it!
